Fox Village Dressage supports barcodes on test labels and scanning those barcodes during Instant Scoring. Note: This feature will not work for Manual Scoring. See Show Preferences in Fox Village Dressage.

Details
In order to use the barcode feature, you will need to install the barcode font and obtain a barcode scanner.
Instructions for Downloading the Barcode Font
1. Click the Download link to start the download.
2. Click Save or Save this file to disk.
3. Save the file to the FVD directory. This should be "My Documents\FVD".
4. Open the zip file and extract all the files to the FVD directory.
5. Read the free3of9.txt and license.txt files.

Instructions for Installing the Barcode Font (Windows 10)
1. Click Start, All Apps, and then click Control Panel.
2. Click Fonts.
3. Drag free3of9.ttf from the FVD directory to the list of fonts in the Control Panel.
Motorola LS2208 Barcode Scanner
1. You can purchase a Motorola LS2208 barcode scanner at amazon.
2. After connecting the barcode scanner to your computer via USB, scan the HID KEYBOARD EMULATION bar code in Step 3 of the instructions.
3. Then add an enter key option to the scanner by scanning the three barcodes under Add an Enter Key (Carriage Return/Line Feed) of the instructions. This will automatically open the Scoring form when you scan a test label.
Instructions for Printing Test Labels in Fox Village Dressage
1. Open Fox Village Dressage and go to the Reports tab.
2. Click Pre-Show and double-click Test Labels.
3. Make your selects as before and check the Barcode check box and click OK.
Note: If you are using the Motorola LS2208 Barcode Scanner solution, you can print either Standard or Small Test Labels. In addition, it is recommended that you print the Test Labels on a laser jet printer. InkJet printers may not print the barcodes fine enough.
